Below is a commission drawing of a reclining woman. It is 18" x 22" graphite on Fabriano soft press watercolor paper. This drawing took about a week, making changes based on the client's feedback.

12-05-08 Today, I sketched four studies of the same pose basically, on newsprint. The study on the left is in graphite and is the last one done. The pose on the right is in charcoal. These are practice sketches for a graphite drawing that I will be doing. These sketches help me to become familiar with the pose, angles and tilt of the body segments. I can look at these and say okay, the left leg needs to be lengthened or the right leg isn't foreshortened enough.
